This project involved the buildout of the 5th, 9th and 12th floors of the Davis Tower in Phase III and the 10th and 11th floors in Phase IV. At the request of the hospital, in order to eliminate drilled-in-concrete anchors to support HVAC, fire sprinkler and plumbing lines, CYS developed a testing program which was approved by OSHPD to weld hangers from the bottom of the metal floor deck. This eliminated the vibration and noise typically associated with drilled-in-concrete anchorage.
