CYS has performed hundreds of building seismic resistance assessments. Our senior personnel have performed first-hand investigations of earthquake damage, which provides us with a unique understanding of potential building weaknesses – - even some that may not be addressed in current codes. This gives us an understanding of the types of construction that are vulnerable and those that are effective in minimizing damage.
CYS has also performed dozens of Due Diligence Surveys to determine Probable Cost for owners or property managers to perform structural renovations of facilities. Surveys include evaluation of the condition and design of both vertical and lateral load-resisting systems, evaluation of Code design criteria, and preparation of a report of findings including comments on inspection of the building and evaluation of the existing contract drawings and calculations.
