Although our primary focus for engineering work is on building structures, we have done and continue to do designs or evaluations for civil works structures. Our two Principal partners, Art Ross and Ken Luttrell, began their careers with the Corps of Engineers and the CalTrans Bridge Department respectively. They and other engineers on our staff represent considerable experience and expertise for civil work structures. Past projects have included tall retaining walls with tiebacks, deep excavation cutoff walls with tiebacks, new and seismic renovation designs for bridges and elevated walkways, riverfront docks, precast concrete barges and floating docks, and designs for large water containment vessels, including seismic renovations for several large elevated steel and concrete water tanks.
