Nortel Meridian I and Option IIc – OSHPD OSP and OPA

Location:  California

The project consists of dynamic testing of two telephone communication systems developed by Nortel for use in hospitals.  The dynamic testing was conducted in accordance with the 2001 CBC and International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) Acceptance Criteria for Seismic Qualification by Shake-Table Testing of Nonstructural Components and Systems (AC 156) in order to obtain special seismic certification (OSP) and anchorage pre-approval (OPA) by OSHPD for installation in any hospital facility anywhere in California.

The equipment was successfully tested for functionality after an earthquake equivalent to the design basis earthquake for any hospital in California.
